A unique keepsake tea towel featuring the original artwork ‘Always a pleasure’ (2022)

The Nylex clock built on top of the concrete barley silos in Cremorne in 1961 is an iconic landmark for Melbournians.  But did you know that within this small precinct of Melbourne’s inner east, an important event in Australia’s aviation history took place?

Actor and entrepreneur George Coppin established ‘The Pleasure Gardens’ an entertainment park on the Banks of the Yarra River in the 1850’s and it was from here Australia’s very first hot air balloon flight launched in 1858.
